Message | Mr. Speaker, While the Liberal Party could support Articles 2 and 4, overall we oppose this bill. Article 1 wants to tweak our healthcare system, which needs no changing, by removing regulations on the private healthcare industry. Healthcare is important and we cannot allow the private healthcare industry to operate by their own rules without holding them in check. The Liberal Party has historically been opposed to Article 3. My Grandfather, Sir Blake Lexington, established the HSAA and spent his life seeing the organization grow. Article 3 will kill the HSAA and for reason we have explained in the past have a negative effect on low-income youth in our country. The Liberal Party will oppose. Senator Brad Lexington (L-AD) Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party |
