It is important that we address the current trading situation: it's crucial that we are willing to trade with other nations and ensure we do so fairly. However, our current trade policy does not reflect our key values and certainly does not ensure the best economic situation for our citizens. |

Current: The nation allows for imports, but imposes protectionist tariffs and quotas on all imports.
Proposed: The nation imposes reciprocal tariffs on imports, with no tariffs imposed on states which impose no tariffs on our exports.
