Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: April 4081
Description[?]:
Bill drafted by Max Murray (L-LA) that would assure that allow those accused of a crime have access to representation in a court of law. Currently, the Government subside the cost of legal representation for individuals with low income but that doesn't not cover the Hutorians who are not considered low income but do not have the money to cover the cost of attorney fees. There is a big bubble surrounding the middle class that leaves them at a disadvantage and could potentially lead to wrongful incarcerations due to the lack of proper representation. This bill will grant all Hutorians the right to a fair trial by the Republic providing legal representation to all citizens. Hutorians can opt-out and hire their own representation if they so choose. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, There is nothing to debate, this proposal must pass. Without it we cannot claim to support the rule of law or justice. Let us give everyone the right to a public defendant. As the Liberal Party says, you can still opt for your own representation if you wish to do so. No one should go into debt to defend themselves in court! Jack Johnson Revolutionary Chairman |
