Bill: Nomination for the World Congress Security Council

Details

Submitted by[?]: Federal Heritage Party of Hutori

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 4101

Description[?]:

OOC: Technically elections won't be held until November 1st but, I thought we should get the ball rolling now so that we could drum up support from other nations. So with that please be aware that this will be RPed as if much closer to the elections.

I hereby recommend that Alvin Carmichael be our nominee to the World Security Council. He has served with distinction in our armed forces, he has a masters degree in International Relations from the University of Bekenial and he has served in our Foreign Affairs ministry as an Ambassador to New Endralon for quite some time now.

MessageThe World Congress Security Council is nothing more than a bureaucratic petting zoo, our country should have nothing to do with it, tell Alvin he doesn't have to leave the country, we've got plenty of slithering snakes here.

MessageMr. Speaker,

It doesn't matter if the Proletarian Party believes that the WCSC is a "Bureaucratic Petting Zoo" or not the fact of the matter is that the position holds real power. In fact the PP could be right and it still wouldn't make a lick of difference because if we don't seek the position and someone else does then we will be subject to their whims. Is that what the PP wants a bound and bobbed Hutori? One that is subject to the will of other nations? Because the PP's increasingly isolationist policy will do just that. Taking us from a proud and strong nation to the international whipping boy.

MessageNo it won't, if some imperialist moron comes over here and tries to tell us what to do, just launch a rocket at his stupid face. The World Congress Security Council is nothing to be worried about at all, they can meet in their fancy suits and exchange oxygen with each other all they like. There is nothing they can do with their corporate jargon besides waste taxpayer dollars.

Isolation is freedom, freedom from influence and contamination, freedom for a nation to build itself.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The Proletarian Party has presented no evidence for their position. The continue to spout political rhetoric without even providing a hint of proof. The fact of the matter is that the World Security Council represents a conglomerate of nations and while strong the Hutorian military could not with stand such a force. They make it seem that isolation is equivalent to self-determinism but, this is untrue internationalism and national self-determinism are not mutually exclusive doctrines. Furthermore an isolated Hutori is a weak Hutori the Proletarian Party has obviously never heard of the economic concept of comparative advantage. Although it seems that they are content to stick their heads in the sand letting the facts and realities of the world pass them by.

Alvin Carmichael seem to be a competent person for this job. We didn't see any good reason to vote against this bill, so we will vote for it.''
