MessageMr. Speaker,

We would like to ask of the Liberal Party what would constitute a misuse of funds and what would constitute illegally obtained funds?

We invite the Director of the Federal Elections Commission to enter into this debate and advise this body on what it's own definitions of illegally obtained funds and misuse of election funds would be so that we could incorporate those recommendations directly into the Bill.

MessageWe are completely against this bill as it seeks to make campaigns only accessible for the wealthy.

We'd ask the HPP to prove that. The law would stop wealthy citizens from unduly affecting elections by enforcing donation limits. A 3,600 HLR limit a year to a Candidate or Political Party allows Hutorians from all walks of life to support their political beliefs, with the benefit of wasting public taxpayer money on election campaigns.
