MessageMr. Speaker

We'd ask what titles of nobility are remaining in Hutori? The Royal Family of Hutori was officially extinguished with the death of the last Royal Pretender, Sarah of House Steuart-Adelia in 4090, which also ended the final remnants of any holders of any titles in the country. To which Royal titles are the HRA referring to?

MessageMt. Speaker,
This is not a matter of titles remaining, but rather that no citizen ought to be granted any distinctions that place them above the general populace.

Message''Mr. Speaker,

I totally agree with the HRA. Even if title of nobility doesn't exist anymore we must send a powerful message to the population. Every Hutorians are equal and no one is above the others.''

I ask the Senators of the HRA and NPP whether or not they support awarding medals and awards to citizens of the Republic, civilian or military, who have performed great acts in support of the Republic?

MessageMr. Speaker,

I would note that an award and or recognition and a title of nobility are two separate things.

In fact by definition by honouring them and giving them a distinction we are raising them above the average citizen of the Republic and showing them as the exemplary citizen for their acts. We note again Mr. Speaker, title of Nobility do not exist anymore in Hutori today. The closest we get are Members of the Order of the Gold Lion, who are honoured as members entirely for their life long service to the country and their feats that most average citizens would never be expected to achieve.

Would the HRA and NPP deny the citizens that were entered into the Order, six of which were ardent Republicans, and three of which were Founders of the Republic, didn't deserve the simple Honourific that was given to them?

MessageOOC: this is the fifth time I've been forced to defend this. I should note that the Titles of Nobility are a loophole becyase no other law fulfills our needs for it; the Order of the Gold Lion. These are Honourifics given to public servants who dedicated a life long of service to Hutori or/and performed truly extraordinary feats that are worthy of recognition. By repealing this law, you are in fact stating these people don't deserve to be recognized for their actions. Further it's no different then members of any award show, people who recieve Meritorious Service Awards or Medals... the literally only difference is that we added Sir or Dame to the front of their name... very similar to how a Doctor gets added to anyone who had a PhD/MD or a Lawyer gets esquire added to the end for theirs.

MessageMr. Speaker,

It is of the opinion of the HRA that titles such as Sir or Dame are not required to remember those who have done a great service to the Republic. The memories of great leaders and individuals past are enshrined in the history of our nation without the need to create a title to recognize them.
