Bill: Bank Anti-Speculation Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: National Liberation Movement
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 4135
Description[?]:
Let us dismantle the largest banks one by one. For too long we have seen our financial system run by a few wealthy banksters who take advantage of wars, disasters, and the working poor with excessive loans and speculative investing. We end up paying for this when the bubbles they foster pop. Meanwhile the top banksters go home with huge bonuses. Let's end the speculation and have a banking system that works for people instead of profits. We would establish multiple non-profit banks through this bill. Enabling the banking sector to serve the people of Hutori instead of the wealthy investor class. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, This is blatant fear-mongering by the Socialist Party. This is a non-issue in Hutori none of our banks engage in the kind of things the Socialist Party is accusing them of. Not to mention that ending our banking industry would ruin our economy plunging us from the heights of the first world into the depths of the third. We cannot allow that to happen we must defend our position as an economic powerhouse. Senator Michael Partridge (F-AD) Federalist Senate Leader |

Message | ''Mr. Speaker Normally, we would tend to agree with any kind of nationalisation. But if there's one thing that we shouldn't ever nationalized, it's banks. Even If I understand the concern and the fear of the Socialist Party toward the bank, I think this bill will hurt our economy realy badly. I do not trust big banks either. But, sadly we need them to improve our economy. We cannot support this bill.'' -Alex bate Senator of the National Progress Party |

Message | Mr.Speaker, we do support nationalisation but not to a huge extent which will disrupt our economy,we can impose regulations on banks to prevent fraud but such large scale nationalisation will result in confusion and pull us down the economic ramkings, therefore we will vote no,Thank you. Justin Steven,Senate Leader of the NDPH OOC:-I am afraid that this might affect Hutori"s RP Economic Ranking and also I am wary of such large scale nationalisation |
