Message | OOC: Well two things these militias actually fall under federal jurisdiction so they are technically a reserve force and apart of the Hutorian military. And secondly if that is what your party is against then that is the point you should be arguing since private paramilitaries are technically banned in Hutori. |

Message | OOC: I'll note that RIS is 100% correct. The Local Defence only gave the Provinces the ability to create Provincal Militias which are written directly as apart of the Armed Forces Reserve; an integral part of the Hutorian Army. The entire point was to take some of the load off of the Hutorian Military, and allow Provinces to step up. Nor does it mean every Province has one m; so far the only Province to actually create one was Kenai under Liberal Premier Irving Parker; no other RP Bills were ever done to actually create a Provincal Militia unless it happened when I wasn't around. Random quote: "If democracy is ever to be threatened, it will not be by revolutionary groups burning government offices and occupying the broadcasting and newspaper offices of the world. It will come from disenchantment, cynicism and despair caused by the realization that the New World Order means we are all to be managed and not represented." - Tony Benn |
