MessageMr. Speaker,

We understand and appreciate the argument for this, but my party's view remains that the death penalty should be reserved only for the rare, very worst cases.

If the death penalty became more widespread, we are concerned that - however unjustly - it might damage Potensi's international reputation. At the present time, we are campaigning for the extradition of Kotari Ravel...and we fear it might damage our cause in the eyes of other nations if it looked like we were moving towards using capital punishment more widely.
