Voting deadline: July 4204
Description[?]:
Speaker, Many companies are faced with bankruptcy due to the ravaging effects of this global economic crisis that we're currently fighting against. With current laws in place, foreign companies may never get a majority share in a Dorvish company, while these foreign investors may hold the key to preventing the loss of jobs and businesses in Dorvik by taking over failing companies with their investments. Foreign Investments may be vital in the next few years, which is why we propose lifting the ban on major foreign investments. |

Message | Mr Speaker, No, no and no! Reliance on foreign companies is exactly what got us INTO this mess; it has a domino effect. Our party is generally supportive of free-trade but certain levels of protectionism are absolutely necessary, and they could not be any more necessary than they are now; this bill will accelerate our economic hardships, if anything our nation needs to adopt a more protectionist stance in order to better shield ourselves from the hardships the rest of terra are to endure. We urge the legislature to shoot down this bill. Rebecca Wehausen, FD Leader |
