MessageMr Speaker,

Such a proposal is worrying from our point of view, not just because we stand to lose control of our own company but because this would take the freedom every Hutorian has - to work where he wishes and to buy what he wishes - away. We see this as spit in the eye of Hutorians everywhere who enjoy our alcoholic beverages. We would also like to warn Health Minister Tom Collins that if this bill passes, we will move to another country and take the 4,000 jobs that are currently held by Hutorians with us.

Message''Mr. Speaker

I don't understand why Mr. Sampson is so worried. I don't think he understood what we are trying to do here. Mr Sampson won't lose the power over its own company nor do the hutorian people won't lose the right to buy whatever they want. If you read carefully this bill you can see that the article 4 stated that '' The production alcohol will stay to the private sector but will be regulated and oversee by the HAC'' which mean that the average hutorian will still be able to enjoy the beverage of Cannonbridge, the only difference is that, now , HAC will be the main customer of Cannonbridge. So it would be extremely stupid for the Mr. Sampson to move his compagnie to annother country because the HAC would do a better price to local compagnies than foreign compagnies.

I really think that Mr. Sampson and every other businessman of the alcohol industry shoudl look at this bill with another eye because I sincerely believe that this bill is a good thing for the alcohol business in general.''

MessageMr Speaker,

If Health Minister Collins wishes to create a brewery/winery, let him do so as a private individual. There are no plausible reasons for implementing a state corporation in an industry that is already well catered to by Cannonbridge and our competitors. It is already a requirement to pass certain safety tests and to ensure that our beverages reach mature tastebuds, what is the purpose of creating another corporation other than to erode the free market? The freer the market, the freer the people. Tom Collins and the NPP want your freedom!
