Bill: Infrastructure and National Funding of Local and University Education, Netting Conspicuous Emergence (INFLUENCE) Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Cosmopolitan Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 4213

Description[?]:

INFLUENCE first attempts to establish and/or regulate the function of charter schools to allow more visible growth in the youth. Second, it provides funding for higher education. This can be accomplished by a change to the country's policy of national service, now allowing exemption if money is given to the government (which will go directly to higher education subsidies).

This growth in our country's education system is a crucial step in emerging from the global financial crisis as an improved nation with valuable infrastructure, ready to lead the way intellectually into the future.

MessageWe don't points one, four and five. The first one because national service or is compulsory or not, but that people who can pay money to avoid it o make it shorter is unfair, that will benefit rich people. We like article 3 and respecting the 4 and 5 we think that religious school are a backwardness for our modern Education.

MessageI will remove articles 4 and 5 regarding religious schools, but I think article one is necessary to provide additional funding to the government in a time when we will already run a deficit, especially considering that the money is going directly to funding higher education.

MessageOk, but after the crisis that should be removed because point 1 is not fair for the common people, national service ,for everybody or for no one.

MessageUnderstood. We will repeal article one after the financial crisis has passed and the government has more financial wiggle room to accommodate for the increase in education spending. I don't necessarily want it in place either, but it is necessary right now to help the government budget.

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play".
