Nation[?]: Republic of Malivia / Malivia Prajatantra Gantantra (Malivia)

Seats[?] in Maliviyan Legislative Assembly or Malvian People's Free Congress or Pratinidhi Sabha[?]: 0

Color[?]:

Description[?]:

Founded June of 4211, the party endorses, respectively with each issue:

-Centralization: The party neither endorses nor opposes states' rights; they choose to believe that these issues should be decided on a basis of each decision at a time, separate of one another.

-Civil and Social Rights: Not only does the party endorse freedom for all individuals, regardless of race, sexuality, age, or religion, but the party also pursues policies of affirmative action to enable equality that may otherwise be denied due to minority groups being persecuted.

-Ecology: The party believes that the environment poses a great threat to the world as it is known unless the government goes out of its way to regulate industries and the people of the country in regards to their consumption and production potentially harming the outside world.

-Foreign Relations: The party actively pursues and welcomes trade agreements to be made with foreign relations, along with necessary military alliances and other foreign entanglements if the agreements benefit Malivia and/or the world in general.

-Government Responsibilities: The party will pursue large government policies if they produce benefits for the people of the nation without infringing on their personal rights.

-Market: The party believes it is the government's duty to responsibly regulate and subsidize the market when necessary,

-Military: The party recognizes the complexity and stupidity of needless waste of resources and life. That being said, the party will pursue policies that bolster the nation's military strength in order to be ready should the nation need defend itself. It is highly unlikely the party will endorse any policy regarding unprompted action against a foreign nation not relating to defense of the homeland.

-Morality: The party pursues policies of reasonability in regards to morality, especially in the public sphere. It is hard to make everyone happy, so this a situation where the party searches for the centrist middle ground that nobody could claim is an overreach or seizure of reasonable rights.

-Religion: The party is not religious in that it will never provide funding nor special privileges to religious institutions. That being said, the party is not secular in that it believes in the rights of the people to practice their own religions, free of government intervention.

Education: The party wishes to allow religious schools, spend more on public education, and provide funding for all students through higher education.

Immigration: The party believes in inclusive doctrines that allow foreign nationals to enter the country and become citizens legally ,and it will not deport illegals but rather push them along the path to legal residency.

The party was founded by Donovan Oluwayemisi on the principle of establishing a "reasonable middle ground" between traditional left wing radicals of Malivia and their opposition on the far right. Embracing principles of being accepting and having the government provide the basic necessities of the people, he announced his run for President of Malivia in 4211, but had never seriously considered it a possibility until his second-place finish in 4219 due to his only education being a Political Science Bachelor's degree. In fact, most of his work is spent within the party, focusing on organization, and serving as the party's chairman. His sister, Candid, serves as the parties Vice-Chairman and is the party's candidate for Trade and Industry. Saul Matthew, the party's candidate for the Prime Minister position, was the first notable public figure to join the party, previously a quite famous political pundit that became upset with the radicalization of Malivian politics and decided to join a cause to change it.

The party had its first significant power breakthrough when it won the plurality of Parliament seats in the election of 4219. Their goals continue to be that of the betterment of the country for all in both the long term and the short term, with reasonability and sensibility allowing them to work across both aisles to accomplish all goals.

Note: The party's current prime concern is the radicalization of militarist left wing groups, exemplified by the rise of the conglomerate known as the Fatherland Front. We consider these people a danger to democracy and will oppose any extreme militant, socialist, or authoritarian ambitions they should choose to pursue.

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play".

Random quote: "We're the first society in history with the option of living in a world without poverty. The fact poverty still exist says more about our political leaders than I can." - Clint Borgen
