Details
Submitted by[?]: Unity Labour Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 4227
Description[?]:
Mr Speaker, we believe that the state must abolish this economically reckless policy of paying phone bills for all citizens. Mr Speaker, we have seen a decline in poverty and unemployment with an increase in wages. We believe that citizens can afford to pay their own telephone bills. However what we are proposing in this bill, is that to prevent telephone service providers from abusing the consumers by raising rates exorbitantly, we will regulate prices by placing price caps which will be high as not allowing companies to charge no more than 0.35MCR per minute in calls and 0.25MCR for data services. |

Current: The state subsidizes the phone service of low income families, and regulates the rates providers can charge for phone service.
Proposed: The state subsidizes the phone service of low income families, and regulates the rates providers can charge for phone service.

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically |
