Message | Mr Speaker, We are in agreement with the Social Liberal Party over the subject matter of reducing our nation's deficit. However, we do not think it is right to include restrictions on an individual's liberty in this bill through removing powers to control gambling from local government control. Also, whilst we agree that our nation should have some form of corporation tax, we believe that it should be much higher than 5%. - Brandon Green Leader of the Hutori Progressives and the International Progressive Alliance |

Message | Mr. Speaker The sole reason for Hutori's continued competitiveness in the global economy is our lack of corporate taxes which not only make it easier for businesses to operate in Hutori but also assist small businesses thrive in our communites. A 10% Tax Rate may be a killer for some small businesses that are barely getting off of the ground. This will kill jobs and the economy and the Progressive should be ashamed for supporting these job killing taxes. Mitchell Court (I-RO) Senator for Sutton Isle |

Message | Mr Speaker, May I draw the attention of those who oppose this bill to the fact that the top three economies as ranked by the Economic Index all have a 10% corporation tax level or higher [see links below.] Vanuku which is ranked higher than our nation on the economic index has a corporation tax rate of 20%! The increase in corporation tax will rid our nation of its budget deficit and will allow us to run a surplus. A budget surplus is the key to a strong economy. Our economy will not go down the drain because of the introduction of this bill. You are but only fear mongering to protect the interests of the corporate elite. - Brandon Green Leader of the Hutori Progressives |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The Progressives are thoroughly misrepresenting the data. We used to have the strongest economy in all of Terra and our low corporate tax rates were a large part in why we held that title. However, after the poor handling of the recent economic crisis by those in leadership at the time we lost our former standing. Our tax rate is the very reason why we are not ranked lower on the economic index. Senator Wyatt McLaughlin (F-AD) Federalist Senate Leader |
