Bill: Bill NP-88: Elimination of our deficit act

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Progress Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 4233

Description[?]:

(This bill was proposed bi the minister of Finance Frederick Mulroney)
We must face it. We have a deficit and a big one. It would be irresponsible and immoral for us to simply give to our children the responsability to pay for ourself. This is why I propose these common-sense taxation reformes that will allow us to transform our deficit into a small surplus.

MessageMr. Speaker

We will not support this Bill under any circumstances. Our caucus is unilaterally against the raising of taxes especially when our tax sysmtr is broken and makes little sense considering there are three separate tax brackets for the lowest income earners but only one and now two for those who make over 70,000 HLR, especially when it makes so little impact on our coffers to the tune of barely 4 Billion HLR.

We also adamantly refuse the raising our Business Tax Rate as it helps small business thrive.

Instead raising taxes however doing a real reform to the income tax system and reducing government spending.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We will not support any legislation that hinders the growth of the Hutorian economy. What we need is to improve our economy not tax it into oblivion. We must find alternative methods of balancing the budget.
