Bill: Cosmetic Testing on Animals Policy

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Libertarian Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 4302

Description[?]:

Our countrie's fauna is an important resource. One of the major causes for tourism, which is a big source of income. Animals deserve the same protection as human citizens and chemicals should not be tested on them. Instead companies must find other methods of testing their products without harming any life forms.

MessageWe already highly regulate the use of animals by the cosmetics industry to minimize harm or abuse to the test subjects. An outright blanket ban is an unwise move which only encourages companies to work outside the law (or move jobs outside the country, where restrictions are lighter).
