Bill: Intention to hold a referendum on EVER CLOSER UNION
Details
Submitted by[?]: Kalistan National Front
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 4342
Description[?]:
The KNF suggests that a referendum is held at some point in the coming decade, asking this question: “SHOULD THE GOVERNMENT OF KALISTAN SEEK TO INTERGRATE FURTHER INTO THE SU?” Each side will be represented by one campaign officially, even though other groups are allowed to campaign. The campaigns will be funded by donations and a small government allowance. If passed the government MUST hold the referendum by 4343, respect the result and then get on with the job. |

Message | OOC: results would be generated randomly and not by a real player. |
Date | 00:02:28, January 30, 2018 CET | From | National Conservative Party | To | Debating the Intention to hold a referendum on EVER CLOSER UNION |
Message | We believe we are perfect the way we currently are. Our allies in the SU worked with us to combat the evil Khan regime and we shouldn't abandon them, but further integration would, we believe, decrease our sovereign rights. Well that's our take on this topic. |
Date | 04:27:19, January 30, 2018 CET | From | Progress Party—The Greens | To | Debating the Intention to hold a referendum on EVER CLOSER UNION |
Message | So the options in this referendum would be to maintain our current level of integration or increase it? Just seeking clarification before we release our party’s stance on this. |
Date | 06:29:17, January 30, 2018 CET | From | National Communist Party | To | Debating the Intention to hold a referendum on EVER CLOSER UNION |
Message | The National Communist Party rebukes any genuine attempt to reduce the integrity of Kalistanian independence and puts at risk the sovereignty of Kalistanian citizens. There are few reasons, given the current socio-economic success of Kalistan to bring ourselves further into the sphere of influence with another nation. |

Message | My party is not for further intergration, we are firmly against it. But we believe a referendum is in order so we know what the people want when the SU want to change. |

Message | The progress party is correct, that would be the idea. If the vote is a yes result we would seek a closer relationship (not giving up independence or anything just a generally closer policy) and if it is a no vote then we would seek to maintain our current relationship. This may seek to some treaties being re-negotiated. |

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with. |
