| Mr. Speaker, It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of the Honourable Kwan Zhiyong to this chamber. Kwan served as Grand Chancellor of this country for three terms, the longest span for a pro-democratic leader in nearly 100 years. Kwan Zhiyong was also among the greatest figures of our modern Indralan state. She was a woman of vision who set a personal example for her country at the age of 16, during the long years of the RC/Pua Dictatorship, in which she marched with that brave generation of student protesters who cried out to build a new democratic order and better tomorrow for our country. An incredibly successful and personally popular politician and human rights activist, Kwan Zhiyong will be remembered as a leader of the new Indrala and a moral leader of the highest order. | Message | Mr. Speaker, It's a shame that the Socialists are perverting the legacy of Grand Chancellor Kwan to fit into their political narrative. Kwan Zhiyong was a monarchist and campaigned in support of the monarchist side during the 4330 Referendum. Further, Kwan acknowledged the subversion of basic human rights by Taeyang Sang-ah's illegitimate regime in Dankuk. If the Socialists truly care about equality or democracy, they would never support the Dranian regime.
