Description[?]:
Mr. President, The current state of technology is a far cry from decades ago. We see new technologies as posibities to further enhance our health care and knowledge, not as dangerous objects that need to be shunned. That's why we propose to change the Law concerning cloning research. We would like to see a regulated Cloning Research Programm (CLORP) to see if cloning can be helpfull in our health care department. We stress that we do not want a free private research, because in our view the government should be able to control this kind of innovative and potentialy groundbreaking research on it's ethical aspects. CURRENT: The cloning of human beings is illegal. PROPOSED: Research in cloning technologies is legal, but regulated. |

Message | Dear GPA, We could see the advantages that research in cloning technologies could give us and our healthcare. However, we wonder if you have taken into account the danger and moral restrictions of the process of cloning? How would you regulate the research and make sure it is safe? Kind regards, Striving for Gaduridos |

Message | Mr. President, We thank the Striving party for their feedback. We would like to see a government agency put in place to monitor and regulate the research into cloning. That government agancy answers to the Minister of Science with regular reports and updates. That way, the government can monitor every step taken by the CLORP-programm. We also want to stress that the government has a veto right and restrictive policies to enforce the compliance of research parties. |
