Bill: Labour Standards and Practices Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Gaduridos Labour [PAG]
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 4398
Description[?]:
With this proposal, Gaduridos Labour is putting its position forward to the people of our nation. Working men and women deserve the right to well resourced, fair, and equal labour laws. Union members deserve the right to not be taken advantage of in negotiations and used as cash cows for unfinancial members. Businesses and unions have the right to negotiate, including over matters of union membership and rights to work in a particular yard. Democratically elected union officials should have the same rights as members of the parliament to act as representatives in matters of negotiation and strike action. These are simple commonsense reforms to change the broken rules that exist in this country and give working men and women a genuine fair go in this nation once again. |

Message | Mr. President, We can agree with some Bills proposed by the Labour Party. However, others are not - in our minds - right. On Article 5 we can see the benefir of lowering the retirement age. However, a three year gap leaves a large dent in our finances. We could agree on lowering it from 65 to 64. We can agree on Articles 4 We disagree on Articles 1, 2, 3 |
