| Mr. President, The Cabinet has agreed to take necessary steps to increase our military capabilities by repealing current restrictions on the production and storage of nuclear weapons. Nuclear weapons are a critical part of a strong national defense policy, and we believe that we must do all we can to ensure the safety and security of our citizens. Therefore, we propose this Weapons Innovation Act, which once again incorporates nuclear weapons into our national defense strategy. As much as we'd like to wave a magic wand and make all the WMDs disappear, this is not a realistic policy.
