Bill: Child Labour Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Republican Party - Democrats
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 4457
Description[?]:
We propose that children between the ages of 14 and 18 are allowed to work in paid employment part time roles. The Ministry for Trade and Industry and the Ministry for Education should work together to identify a number of other regulations that should be put in place, notably limiting the number of hours to less than a reasonable number (for example, less than 12) and that "child" workers have extra time set aside for breaks, are forbidden from dangerous or unhealthy work and are given extra time off from work to help with exams and revision. |
