Message | Madam Speaker, The so called "War on Drugs" has been successfully pacified with the last government's measures. This reform will only stigmatize the use of drugs without seeing the real issue here. Addiction must be treated on specialized healthcare units and NOT in prison. Of course these healthcare units' budget will be cut by the greediness of the Republicans who are sadly now in power. The approval of this bill would be a sad day for Baltusians who fell into addiction, in a Baltusia that no longer cares about them: the Republican Baltusia. We will vote against this bill, and we encourage all the parties that care for our fellow compatriots, do the same. Herald D. Gwell Member of the Health Committee of the House UDP-NE-S |

Message | Madam Speaker, I consider it a travesty that the Republicans would even bring such a bill to the floor. We are talking about cannabis, marijuana, whatever you want to refer to it as. The facts are out, it is not a dangerous drug like the Republicans want the public to think. It is literally responsible for zero deaths in all of history, the same cannot be said about alcohol and tobacco which are legal in our nation. It is proven to have several medicinal purposes. The Republicans Party isn’t trying to start a war on drug they are trying to start a war on the peace and comfort of everyday Baltusians just trying to get through another day. Message | Madam Speaker the war on drugs is a failure, it is not working, it is costing the avarage Baltusia way too much for results it yield. But this is not just war on drug, this is also a war on medical cannabis user, who want to used cannabis to reduce their pain or to get more sleep. There is litteraly no reason to outlaw the medical use of cannabis, Sage Kinney PLCA civil right's speakers |

Message | Madam Speaker, I would simply like it to be noted that the nominee for FIB Director Winston Danforth said earlier this month in his confirmation hearing that the current drug laws have made it easier for law enforcement to pursue actual criminals. If the current proposals were to become law it would just add to the burden of law enforcement officers and make law “extremely expensive”. Simply put, the current laws actually help law enforcement and everyday citizens, the current laws protect more lives, and overall are just better for everyone the way they are. |
