Bill: Call for early elections, July 4642

Details

Submitted by[?]: Socialist Front

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill requests an early election. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline. Elections will be held immediately if the bill passes.

Voting deadline: March 4643

Description[?]:

Due to the dissolvement of the Communist Party about 10% of seats are empty. Democracy requiers us to call for early elections so that no percentage of the voting population stands unrepressented.

MessageMadam speaker,

We believe that the current representation in this house of parliament is more than sufficient in its ability to represent the people of hutori.

MessageMadam Speaker,

Hutorian law states that if 20% or more seats in parliament become vacant, we must call early elections. With less than 10% of seats vacant, we cannot support calling elections so soon after the last elections. While some ridings do not have a particular member representing them, we encourage those Hutorians effected to reach out to MPs from neighboring ridings with any concerns they may have. 374 MPs is surely enough representation for the time being.
