Description[?]:
Decree of the Senate on the Divine Cassius and the Divine Flavia Quirites, The Senate of Selucia has passed the below Senatus Consultum, and, as authorized by Article VIII.d. of the Mummian Law on the Senate and the Censor (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=630030) I am hereby submitting the decree for approval by the People's Assembly. If approved this Senatus Consultum will carry force of law: “No other man or woman has done as much for the liberty of Selucians and the liberation of the Republic from tyranny as Caius Cassius Sophus and Octavia Flavia Hadriana. Together they overthrew the most oppressive regime in the Republic’s history and restored the institutions of liberty. The only reason we enjoy the fruits of freedom to this day is due to their monumental efforts. None has done as much for political and economic liberty as Caius Cassius Sophus, and none has labored as much for individual liberties and the rights of LGBT+ Selucians as Octavia Flavia Hadriana. It is therefore proper for them to be honored as Gods. By decree of the Senate and the consent of the People Caius Cassius Sophus will be known as Divus Cassius and Octavia Flavia Hadriana shall be known as Diva Flavia. Temples in their honor are to be erected throughout the Republic.” Faustinus Pamphilus Consul OOC: https://particracy.fandom.com/wiki/Octavia_Flavia_Hadriana https://particracy.fandom.com/wiki/Caius_Cassius_Sophus |

Message | Members of the Assembly, This is an affront to all those who fought for the freedoms of our citizens. Although we at COSIRA do not deny their obvious contributions to Selucian society, this proposition is not constructed from anything other than ideology and not from history, as can be seen by opening any book that talks about the history of our nation. During the past centuries, there have been numerous politicians who have done much more than these two people for the freedom of our society and our nation, but whom the MTS does not want to recognize for belonging to an ideology different from their own. People that has fought dictatorships, that have stopped them from ruling the nation, that has protected minorities in our nation once and again against subversive forces. Message | Quirites, If Mr. Auspex believes that we support the worship of Divus Cassius and Diva Flavia, he would do well to open a history book, and he will see that their ideological views were diametrically opposed. One was a conservative aristocrat and the other a left-liberal feminist, but the Divine Cassius and the Divine Flavia placed the common good of the Republic and the wellbeing of its citizens above their narrow ideological views. If Mr. Auspex believes instead that there are other historical figures who did as much to overthrow tyranny the path remains open for their apotheosis as well. A Senatus Consultum and approval by the People assembled in the legislature is all that is needed. I'm sure the Senate is eager to hear COSIRA's proposals. Faustinus Pamphilus Consul |

Message | Quiris, If it does not reside in ideology, the gross differentiation that the MTS is making between our figures of the past is based on their religion, something much worse. You, therefore, are not making objective historical evaluations, but are underestimating the actions of one or the other based on the religion they follow or to which they adhere. Which is a terrible offense to everyone else. It is not a question of others proposing it, but rather that you yourself have not been able to see beyond your religious blindness to carry out this proposal. Therein lies the difference. We do not believe in the deification of our illustrious citizens, but rather in remembering them through history, monuments, and commemorations in our cities. But we do not believe that their ideological blindness allows them to see the rest. Pyrgopolynices Auspex |

Message | Quirites, Divus Cassius was a notoriously irreligious Hosian. So how are we religiously blind again? Faustinus Pamphilus Consul OOC: http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1585&start=310#p85281 |

Message | Quirites, An irreligious but conservative aristocrat. In the end, it sums up what your party ends up defending: One of them a notoriously irreligious, yet a conservative upper class. The other, a left-liberal feminist yet polytheistic woman. We would like to know what would have happen in the opposite case, if one of the was a notoriously irreligious, left-liberal feminist. Like many figures of our more recent history than both of them. Once again, the MTS is doing a partisan use of our historical figures, and that is deeply miserable. Message | Quirites, The partisan allegations of Secretary Auspex are becoming increasingly absurd. We are proposing the apotheosis of two very different people, with different ideologies, genders, religious views, and even sexual orientations. What more does Mr. Auspex want? If he is not satisfied with the worship of two of the founders of our Republic, nobody is forcing him to do so. If he wants other citizens to be deified, he's free to propose it. I have the impression that Mr. Auspex just hates our Republican system of government and that is why he hates its two founders. I can see no other explanation other than the fact that he's upset his fanatical followers failed to install a proletarian dictatorship, so now he's spouting nonsense about the two great Gods given to our Republic.
