Bill: Lib-Bloc-LPP Cabinet
Details
Submitted by[?]: Liberal Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 5009
Description[?]:
Government program: -Decrease corporation tax to 30%. -Decrease luxury goods tax to 20%. -Remove all tax brackets over 60%. -Decrease the defense budget to 30 billions. -Devolve education to the duchies. -Health care is private, but the government subsidises the cost of it for all citizens. -Sex reassignment surgery is legal but regulated. -Pornography depicting consenting adults is legal for adults. -The production of pornography is legal, but regulated. -Concerning movies: The government sets a range of standards (no hardcore pornography or gory movies for examples) but these only apply to movie theaters. -Forests are protected. Logging is allowed by licence only. -The government provides pollution prevention guidelines, but does not enforce them. -The death penalty is not applied, except for terrorism, treason and crimes against mankind. -Judicial corporal punishment (eg. caning or flogging) is legal (instead of permanent injury) -Police officers carry standard firearms. -The police may arrest crime suspects. -The police patrol public property at all times -The police cannot search a person or their property without their consent unless the police have obtained a warrant from a court or have reasonable grounds to suspect that a crime was committed. About the ALVC: since this party did not participate in the negotiations, we hope they will approve all our program and provide us with supply and confidence. We would prefer not including this party in our cabinet, since it holds positions that are too radical for the LP. We believe the ALVC will cooperate with the democrats and not the LSP. |

Message | Press release from Martina Dressler: “Our party wishes to congratulate the Liberals on their successes, but we have voted no due to the inappropriate actions taken by the Bloc - Citizen’s Populist Union following the 5008 Alchester terrorist attacks. For this reason, we oppose any attempt at collaboration with a party that would celebrate violence and death.” Ties in with http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=649344 |
