| We are pleased to present our government programme for the next two years to the Diet. - Citizenship is granted to all nationals. (A current oversight arising from legislative illiteracy.) - It is a criminal offence to refuse to perform military service. - The military acts as a de-facto police force, with powers of arrest. - All adults upon completion of schooling must serve a term in the military. - The government assigns military control to local governments - Paramilitaries are allowed with full privileges, with the right to intervene when necessary. - Contraceptives are banned for religious reasons. - IVF is illegal. - Surrogacy is illegal. - Only advertising that meets certain set standards is permitted. - The government operates large, national banks, but small community based private banks are allowed. - The government appoints the head of the central bank and an executive board to manage the central bank and can interfere with its operations. - Charging interest on loans is illegal for religious purposes - Two thirds of corporate boards must consist of employees - The government subsidizes private enterprises that face bankruptcy. - Only government-run trade unions exist and membership in them is compulsory. - There shall be a minimum wage at a level considered a "living wage," well above the poverty line for a full time worker. - Criminals released from jail are not allowed to vote. - The death penalty is applied for capital crimes. - Judicial corporal punishment that causes permanent injury (eg. mutilation) is legal. |
