| Mr. Speaker, I rise today to speak in support of the creation of a new national police force in the Holy Empire. As we all know, the current system of law enforcement in our country is decentralized, with separate police forces for each of the Duchies. While this has served us well in the past, the changing nature of crime, the Malivian Crisis, and the ongoing threat of terrorism have highlighted the need for a more unified and coordinated approach to law enforcement. A national police force would bring greater consistency and efficiency to law enforcement, allowing for better coordination and cooperation between the different police forces. It would also be better equipped to deal with cross-Duchy crime, such as human trafficking and organized crime, which often operate across multiple jurisdictions. Additionally, a national police force would provide a unified response to national security threats and emergency situations. Furthermore, the the Luthorian Special Constabulary will stand down as a paramilitary force and will be in-effect integrated as our new official national police force.
