Bill: The National Legislature Change of Name Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: National Labour Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 5266
Description[?]:
The National Legislature Change of Name Act, is a constitutional bill, proposed by Gerard Williams, MID for the Imperial Conservative Union, which seeks to change the name of the House of Commons to Imperial Diet. This law, purely symbolic, aims, according to the Member of the Imperial Diet, as it is called, to repair the errors of the past, by naming the national legislature in House of Commons, than to rename it in Imperial Diet, to make pleasure to the Republicans, with the Compromise of Governor-General, which was abolished in 5196. With the restoration of the Emperor as Head of State of the Empire, with the removal of the last bastions of Republicanism at Luthori, it is very probable that this law will pass, because in society the name House of Commons is used very little, people, the media preferring to call it Imperial Diet, as before. Article I: If this law passes the benches of the House of Commons, it will be renamed the Imperial Diet. |

Message | Mr Speaker, On behalf of the whole Imperial Conservative Union parliamentary group present in this Imperial Diet, I can announce our support for this bill proposed by our colleague, the MID, Gerard Williams, it is very important to put an end to the remnants of the republicanism that brought instability to our political world, with a near-civil war in 5172, the restoration, albeit limited, of the monarchy in 5176, with the establishment of the office of Governor-General, a post supposed to be neutral, but this neutrality having been flouted by the members of the Left Party and their leader, Charlotte Davies, who used the post for political goods, and wanted to be crowned Empress in place of the late William VI. It is high time to part ways with this cumbersome legacy and enter the new decade as a nation united and ready to face new challenges, at home and beyond our borders. I yield Fallon Ramsay-Hayden, Leader of the Imperial Conservative Union. |
