Description[?]:

The Centre Party has just officially joined the Whig Alliance and will join the NLP and the LH in the following ducal elections!

The Centrists who just a few months ago were completely undefined have now chosen their faction. This means that the Whig bloc emerges as the largest faction in the House of Commons, surpassing the Tories. The balance of the factions has changed dramatically. The political landscape has gone from Tory vs Socialists as the primary divider to Whig vs Tory.

Evan Samuels commented to The Daily Liberal,

- "I am happy to be in the same camp as these other Liberal Parties! It feels like we are restoring a very necessary balance to Luthori."

Some Centrists voters are not as pleased, however. We spoke to Hudsley Centre Party Official, Armie Johnson.

- "I understand the reason for why they (the party board) chose this. But we need to make sure that the party doesn't get stuck in bloc politics and factionalism. We need to remain an independent force beyond the classical right vs left."

The Centre Party is still very new. Their membership has surged and one could argue that the large influx of members makes their ideological grounds unstable. Beyond agrarianism, federalism and some welfare politics what is really the economic policy of C? The intellectual grounds on which C stands is somewhat shaky. This alliance with the Whigs makes it a bit more clear. I personally believe that the Centrists allying with the Whigs provides a good base for further political development. At this newspaper we hope that the Centrists become beacon of freedom and liberty!
