Voting deadline: May 5294
Description[?]:
(This bill was proposed by the Minister of Education and Culture Kaitlyn Thompson) It is inherently immoral to segregate student of different religion in different school. Religious schools are dividing our youth into clans that hate each others. Putting our children in little religious bubble where the ideas of their parents will never be question and where everyone share the same opinion as them can only lead to a disaster. School should be about learning your futur job or learning how to be a functionning adult not about learning how to practice the religion of your parents. Religions should be taught at home or at places of worship and nowhere else. Let's stop the endoctrination of our youth once and for all. Let's ban religious schools and re-unite our nation. Provision; Article 1) Upon the passage of this bill, every religious school, may they be private or public, shall be transformed into normal school. Article 2.1) Upon the passage of this bill, it shall be illegal to give any form of religious education in any school may they be private or public. Message | Mr. Speaker While the Monarchist Party is not inherently against a secular education, banning religious education outright is a step too far. What of religious schools that are designed to teach new generations of pastors and priests and other theologians. What of schools that are trying to reach religious studies as a comparison and only clinically. Using such vague blanket language goes against the concept of freedom of speech. Further Mr. Speaker, by stopping the ability of religious schools to teach future theologians and biblical scholars is this not a direct attack on Freedom of Religion by denying these religions the next generation of willing and voluntary worshippers. We oppose this bill on these fundamental grounds. Theodore Woodbury Leader of the Monarchst Party of Hutori Senator for Groomsbridge |

Message | Mr. Speaker, For me, it goes without saying that when we talk about religious schools, we talk about schools that educate minors. Like Primary schools, middle schools and high scools. If the Senator from Groomsbridge had voice his concerns before the bill was put up to vote, we could havee amended it so that it specify which kind school the new law would apply to. Now, to make sure there is no misunderstanding in the law, I would propose to create a new bill to add some provision to this one. Would the Senator be satisfied with this compromise? -Kaitlyn Thompson Minister of Education and Culture Senator for Bekenial Centre |

Message | OOC: I mean I was just reactivated but sure ;) IC: Mr. Speaker If the Government is willing to reintroduce a Bill with amended language to reflect which schools are impacted by this bill and more importantly, which have limited exemption depending on the subject matter we would of course support it.
