Bill: McClair Ministry 5351 - Caretaker cabinet
Details
Submitted by[?]: Conservative Party (Whigs)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 5352
Description[?]:
Mr. Speaker, Members of this House, I propose to present the following cabinet and its ministers to Her Imperial Majesty for approval. This cabinet is a caretaker cabinet based on a national unity coalition. We ask confidence and support from as many members in this House for the stability of the nation. Our mandate, is small. We will work not on the basis of individual party mandates, but on individual cases with various parties and various majorities to get work done! This means all parties are asked to converse with us. We will not put government motions to vote before discussing them in parliament and with parties, we will seek compromises and to unite this House. Now some in this country will wonder why the Fatherland party isnt in government. The awnser is simple. No party is currently willing to work with them in a cabinet. They oppose liberal values which we hold dear, so at least three parties cant work with them. The Conservatives of the CDU find them too extreme as well. On the other hand we cant invite the Socialists in government either, their party isnt ready yet either. Stability thus must come from the middle. But the RWL, SLP and FF will be heard and we extand a hand to them, to work with us, to find new majorities for common policies. Thank you. John McClair Candidate PM Union of the Lion |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Dear colleagues, The MIDs of the Union of the Lion, have lost the elections, but they have also lost their minds. It is very clear that this government proposal is a puppet cabinet of the deep state. The gentleman claims the conservatives of the CDU find my party positions too extreme. Then why is that, that a majority of CDU-parliamentarians expressed their intention to vote in favour of our foreign policy agenda? That has to mean something. The truth is that the majority of the population repudiates liberal values, including many CDU-voters. And it makes you angry, it TRIGGERS you that liberal values are losing! If the CDU agrees to enter a cabinet supported by the far-left republicans they claim to combat, then I assure you that the Fatherland Front will keep growing. You are losing, liberals. May I also remind the Honourable gentleman that a cabinet without the Fatherland Front means that, as our President outlined, the three international partnership agreements go DOWN THE DRAIN! And the first task of the next Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs will be to explain to these countries why these treaties have been cancelled. And why is that? Because YOU, yes YOU, establishment puppets, are trampling on democracy. Anyone with a clear understanding of democracy and foreign policy should understand why the Fatherland Front has to be included in the next cabinet. The people want the Fatherland Front and they want a cabinet led by the Fatherland Front with the policies of the FATHERLAND FRONT! Of course, we can make a coalition. But the CDU outright rejected our proposal. With such an establishment, we cannot cooperate. Therefore, our only coalition partners will be the Luthorian people. *FF MIDs clap and cheer after the speech Ian Griffiths, MID for Northriding. |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically |
