Description[?]:
10 June 5370 Ralph Henry, President of Socialist Liberal Party, today made controversial remarks by accusing the government of trying to create a "fascist dictatorship". He said that the policies of government were becoming increasingly repressive, invasive, and authoritative; and urged the National Liberals to leave the Constitutional Democratic Union due to the perceived reactionism by its other faction Monday Club. He especially accused Emily Harrington and Dan Penning of these attempts. According to him, the Monday Club faction of Constitutional Democratic Union and the Fatherland Front are collaborating on these issues in order to create these policies and create a fascist dictatorship, and he accuses the National Liberal faction of Constitutional Democratic Union of remaining silent and he urges that faction to leave the CDU and form their own "National Liberal Party". What he said in details was: "When we look at what is happening in today Luthori, we see that the policies of the CDU-FF coalition are becoming increasingly repressive, invasive and authoritative. These two namely Emily Harrington and Dan Penning came together in order to create a fascist dictatorship and then expect the others to call the political system a 'liberal democracy'. But no! If you want it to be called a liberal democracy, you should do it as such. Otherwise, it will and should be called an authoritarian dictatorship and prepare to it at very start. Let's a bit drill down into the policies: death penalty, mandatory prayers in all schools, ban on pornography, ban on prostitution, state intereference on religious institutions, disenfrancishment of criminals. Even though these are masked up as 'to strengthen the place of Hosianism within society', true intention behind these is to create a fascist dictatorship and repress civil liberties. As a person who believes in social equality, I think that these policies are discriminatory and repressive. An important component of liberal democracy is civil liberties, and where did it go? And National Liberals... they seem silent. If they are really liberals, they should stop their alliance with the regressive fascists, and form a meaningful and serious political party. Just remember how did you do before merging with CDU, and you can and should return to it right now. The society continues to regress and if we want to stop it, we can not just watch what is happening! Democratic values should be restored as soon as possible, and the National Liberals should seriously think about supporting a motion of no confidence to bring down this regime. " |

Message | Dan Penning reacts: "The SLP still makes the same comments about the CDU as they were making 30 years ago. It looks like the SLP has a broken record. Now, as they realise they can't win a single election, they try to create a split within the CDU! This party never ceases to amaze me!" |

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections. |
