Details
Nation[?]: Empire Canrillais - Confédération rildanorienne (Rildanor)
Seats[?] in Conseil national (National Council)[?]: 0
Color[?]:
Description[?]:
Beginning as Le Parti du Metzisme et Démocratie (The Party of Metzism and Democracy), more and more socialists from across Rildanor joined the party, expanding its ideological inclinations and broadening its base. Eventually it got to the point where the party could no longer maintain a centralized national structure, so the decision was made, via referendum, to devolve sections of the party. Renamed as La Ligue des Socialistes Rildanoraises (LSR; League of Rildanorese Socialists), the party would retain its administrative structure and support of Metzian Democratic Socialism, but would be devolved to give more control to local/regional offices and allow more ideological freedom within the party. We are an ideologically diverse party, but all members must adhere to certain principles: Socialist Egalitarian pro-civil rights and liberties anti-racism anti-sexism anti-capitalism anti-imperialism anti-fascism Official Motto: <<Briser les chaînes !>> ("Break the chains!") Other mottoes: <<Les travailleurs du monde, s'unissent !>> (Workers of the world, unite!) <<L'humanité au-dessus de tout>> (Humanity above all) Co-chairs: Comrades Augustine Hambard (Metzist) & Inès Lémieux (Metzist) (May 4347-May 4352) Comrades Augustine Hambard & Zacharie Soucy (SocDem) (May 4352-4357) Comrades Augustine Hambard & Félicie Bonnay (Syndicalist) (May 4357-) Elections: Every 5 years (started May 4347) Election type: Instant Run-off Paramilitary: Ligue Défense Démocratique (Democratic Defence League) Youth-wing: Les Jeunes Socialistes Rildanoraises (Young Rildanorese Socialists) Student-wing: Les Étudients pour le Socialisme et Démocratie (Students for Socialism and Democracy) Party Factions: Leonidists - Most extreme and militaristic members of the party. Support Leonid's corollaries to Metzism. (8%) Metzists - Typical run-of-the-mill Metzists and Democratic Socialists. Includes both revolutionary and reformist flavors, but all are committed to the ultimate realization of Metz's ideas and get along well enough. (19%) Syndicalists - Revolutionary socialists who place more emphasis on the role of labour unions in building Socialism. Advocate for a more Rildanorese Communism based around a federation of labour unions, represented by workers' councils. (27%) Nationalist Syndicalists - By far the most right-wing of the party, socially, support a more centralized version of the Syndicalist Federation and more emphasis on Rildanorese national identity, as opposed to Communist class war and internationalism, but still retaining the framework of a socialist economy. (16%) Libertarian socialists - Supporters of a progressive Communist society, but opposed to the (perceived) State Socialist tendencies of Metzists. (16%) Social-democrats (SocDems) - Most moderate members of the party. Advocate capitalist welfare state rather than outright transition to Socialism. (15%) "If you tremble with indignation at every injustice, then you are a comrade of mine." - Comrade Esteban Alamilla (OOC: Che Guevara) (note: Alamilla is NOT meant to represent Terra's version of Che, he's simply a placeholder for the quote) |
