Description[?]:
"Man is born free, and everywhere he is in chains." The Green Manalishi Party believes in a modern version of Rousseau's 'Social Contract'. The GMP seeks to offer citizens emancipation and maximum civil liberties through their bond, loyalty and trust in the state; a mutually reciprocal relationship. On the major issues: Centralization The GMP aims to protect each of its citizens equally with core values and believes that this is the best way to emancipate people throughout the territory. Ecology The GMP seeks to fight political apathy and the corporate tendency to deliver profits whilst disregarding effects on the environment Foreign Relations The GMP believes that the struggle to emancipate oppressed peoples is a global one. It rejects protectionism and supports fair trade over free trade. Government Responsabilities 'When equality exists there will be no state' Market The GMP believes in a Socialist economy. That controlling unemployment is more important than controlling inflation. That accountability is more important than profitability. We believe in supporting localised traditions. Military The GMP supports the quest for world peace. It is vehemently opposed to nuclear, biological and chemical warfare and supports means of debate and communication. If and when this unfortunately fails, the GMP condones the general sentiment of 'violence for equality'. Morality Progressive in all aspects. Pro-choice and pro-euthanasia under regulated conditions. Religion 'The opium of the people'. Should have no role in political or public life. Should not be forced on anyone and be open to criticism |
