Description[?]:
The Free Hutori Party is a liberal libertarian party whose core platform is the protection of individual liberties. Our Platform: Libertarianism We believe that individual freedom must be the core tenant of any free nation, and we reject utterly the idea of government as father figure, deciding what is best for its citizens. Liberalism Too often libertarianism is partnered with an attitude of selfishness that would leave the most vulnerable of our society endangered. We believe a free society of individuals can still agree to fund welfare safety nets, public health and education, and other services that enrich the society as a whole. Democratic Republicanism Both monarchism, that would vest power over the masses in a single pair of hands, and socialist collectivism, which would see the death of individuality, are the antithesis of a free society. Regulated Capitalism As libertarians, we believe that all people should be free to seek their own destiny and be free to participate in commerce, build businesses, or simply work for a salary. However, Corporations are not people and we do not believe they should possess any rights seperate from individual citizens within them. |

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map. |
Random quote: "No one today can afford to be innocent, or indulge himself in ignorance of contemporary governments, politics and social orders. The national polities of the modern world maintain their existence by deliberately fostered craving and fear: monstrous protection rackets. The 'free world' has become economically dependent on a fantastic system of stimulation of greed which cannot be fulfilled, sexual desire which cannot be satiated and hatred which has no outlet except against oneself, the persons one is supposed to love, or the revolutionary aspirations of pitiful, poverty-stricken marginal societies like Cuba or Vietnam. The conditions of the Cold War have turned all modern societies - communist included - into vicious distorters of man's true potential." - Gary Snyder |
