Although moderately progressive, the Grand Republic advocates the rule of the educated, and land owners. It's progressivism is more rooted in it's sympathy for the poor and unprivileged than it's support for them. Glorious Coalition[reborn]-founded in 4053 Goal: To Restore the Golden Age Center-Right, Nationalist They believe in Izaäkian economics (OOC: Keynesianism) and the encouragement of business growth through subsidies. They also wish to slowly modernize the nation, unlike the Royal Coalition which was agrarian in nature. The group, however, does not wish to leave farmers in the dust during the expansion, and they promote economic growth that includes all citizens. The Glory Boys also have shown support for a stronger military, a peaceful end to recent tensions with Vanuku, and an active foreign policy. Royal Coaliton[reborn]- 4023-present Restored monarchy under King Izaäk II, grandson of King Izaäk the Great. -Return to traditional values -Law and Order -Izaäkian economics(OOC:Keynesian) -Free Trade -Internationalist (Saridani Sunrise) - Pro-Vanukean - Staunchly anti-communist ------- The Glorious Coalition registered as a national party in July 3982. The GC represents the principles of Izaakianism, once promoted by the Royal Coalition. The GC is backed by the League of Izaäk, a regional party that has influence in every mainland staat. The GC Leaders, Dominicus Van Cann, Simon Dreese, and Mark Apperlo have been nicknamed "the glory boys" due to their idealism and youth. The young leaders are calling for the restoration of the republic, but the very respectful treatment of the royal family. They have justified this by stating that they wish to restore the republican system used during the Golden Age and that Prince Daniël was not great like Izaäk. They believe in Izaäkian economics (OOC: Keynesianism) and the encouragement of business growth through subsidies. They also wish to slowly modernize the nation, unlike the Royal Coalition which was agrarian in nature. King Bart I, who was famous for leading the fight against segregation and slavery. King Izaäk the First, aka King Izaäk the Great, was the most famous King. He was very politically active and was involved in government affairs. He created Izaäkian economics which is similar to RL Keynesian economics. King Daniël, who was denied the throne by parliament and therefore never served as King. He lived much of his life in foreign countries before returning as an old man. King Izaäk the Second, is the grandson of King Izaäk the First, and the son of King Daniël. He was young when he assumed the throne, and was interested in being politically active. He was know to be aggressive and impulsive. Although he was effective, he only served for a short time before being deposed by military officers. He was killed by fascists while fleeing. King Bart the Second, given the throne at 38, Bart is the Brother of King Izaäk the Second who had no children. Bart II is the first brother to receive the throne, thus breaking the father- first son tradition. Bart II is a determined anti-fascist and an avid internationalist. |
