The Free Peoples of Lourenne support freedom in all forms, and believe that governments exist solely to keep one person from treading on the rights of another. We support individual freedoms for all people. We believe people should have the right to make choices for themselves. Under no circumstances should the government enforce a single option to the exclusion of others; private industry can rarely compete effectively with government-mandated, taxpayer-funded services, except when those services prove so inadequate that they should not exist in the first place. How can competition exist if one competitor forces everyone to "buy" their services? This does not mean we believe markets can solve all problems; it does mean that we believe governments will inevitably do worse. |
