Description[?]:

The SLF is a coalition of secularists, civil libertarians, and other anti-authoritarian minded individuals and organisations of both the moderate and the radical left.

While members are not required to have a fixed ideology, the following are considered to be the party's key principles.

Civil Libertarianism: Provided that their actions do not harm others, we agree that all Deltarians must be able to live their lives and express themselves as they see fit.

Equality of Opportunity: Regardless of social class or of other disadvantages that are not self-imposed, we believe that every Deltarian must be allowed the same opportunity to realise their potential and to lead a life of freedom and prosperity. We oppose all ethnic cleansing and all forms of instutionalised racism that are endemic to Deltaria's political class and we will strive to end these atrocities and work towards paying appropriate reparations to the victims.

Representative Democracy: We believe that the best way to govern a society as complex as our own is via representative democracy complemented by a lot of opportunities for citizens to be involved in the political process via activism in political parties and other organisations. We stand in unwavering opposition to Bátory-Nádašdy Dynastia and other parties that consistently change their positions in order to manipulate Deltarian voters.

Secularism: We believe in freedom of and freedom from religion and insist that federal, provincial, and local governments not be allowed to show religious bias or to use their own religious values as a means of regulating the lives of others. For this reason, we adamantly oppose the iron-clad grip that the Deltarian Catholic Church, Pápež Innocent I, and the Bátory-Nádašdy Dynastia hold on our nation's levers of power.

Social and Economic Justice: We believe that a strong public sector, a strong private sector, and an activist government are all central to building a free, egalitarian, propserous, and just society. We oppose the ruthless totalitarianism and love for oppression that corrupt Deltaria's political class and have turned this country into a basketcase via a bastardised ideology that combines the worst of Stalinism, Naziism, and theocracy.

Sustainable Development: Humanity is leaving an ecological footprint on Terra that will ultimately devastate our world, and Deltaria's current political elite are among the planet's worst offenders. We believe that it is morally imperative that we halt and reverse the growth of this footprint for own sake and for the sake of future generations and those with whom we share this planet.

Internationalism: Terra faces complex geopolitical and ecological issues that can only be solved if countries are willing to denounce unilateralism and work together in building a Terra that is free, just, and prosperous. For this reason, the SLF will do whatever it takes to mend fences with our Majatran friends and others to whom our political elite have brought terror and repression while ensuring that good relations continue to exist between Deltaria and our current allies.

Strength: While we are staunch proponents of internationalism, we realise that -- upon liberating Deltaria from its totalitarian political elite -- that all Deltarians will have a stake in protecting our country from their remnants and from the vast networks of influence and power that they control both within and outside of Deltaria's borders . For this reason, we believe in the democratisation of national security and in a military that -- while not being aggressive and not favouring the use of nuclear, chemical, biological, and other weapons of mass destruction -- possesses defensive and transportation capabilities that are second to none. Read our lips: The SLF will dismantle the WMD capabilities of the Deltarian war machine. Out of respect for conscientious objectors, we believe in offering Deltarians alternative forms of civil service.

Federalism: The state has a moral imperative to ensure that civil liberties protected and that social justice takes precedence over all other issues. For this reason, we support some regional control, vut will not allow community standards and devolution must never be allowed to stand in the way of individual civil liberties.

Justice: We believe in a justice system that -- while tough on those who bring harm and suffering to others -- emphasises rehabilitation and restoration over punishment for its own sake. We oppose using the enforcers and interpretors of the law as a bully club with which civil liberties are trampled upon.

Sexuality: First and foremost, the SLF will do whatever it takes to take and keep the state out of the bedrooms of Deltarians. Beyond that, while opposing public nudity and explicit sexual acts, we support the rights of private nudist communities. Furthermore, we oppose all restrictions on a woman's access to abortion and believe that the state should provide both preventative and after-the-fact contraception free of charge.

The Media: We believe in providing state-owned, editorially-independent educational and news networks on both television and the radion in concert with both domestic and foreign-run private networks. We unequivocally oppose all forms of media censorship, insisting instead that televisions, radios, and ISPs be required to have mechanisms that allow parents to restrict what their children are permitted to watch.

Copyright: The SLF believes in a balance between protecting the rights of content creators and preventing multimedia conglomerates from using copyright laws as a means by which innovation is stifled. For this reason, we oppose any treaty that would regulate Deltaria's sovereignty over its copyright laws and support only limited and temporary protection of works of art and technology.

The Internet: Beyond going after child pornography involving the exploitation of real children, esuring that ISPs charge fair rates to customers, and protecting customers from harm and fraud, we oppose all Internet regulation and all attempts to ban filesharing networks.

In addition, the SLF maintains ties to unions, progressive NGOs, and other groups dedicated to building a free, green, and prosperous Deltaria where nobody is left behind and where the current political elite is never again able to oppress the masses.
