Description[?]:
Ideology: agrarianism, social democracy, pensioner's issues, hosian democracy, centrism Ideological position: non-subscribing: morally center, socially left, economically populist, non interventionist Seal: http://imgur.com/cyO3tf6 Flag: http://imgur.com/CgjqzXq Party Leaders: Sir Adalbert Darnleigh (4104-4112) Adalbert Darnleigh II (4112-present) History: founded by landowner and agrarian philosopher Sir Adalbert Darnleigh in 4104 to confront issues of urbanization and de-emphasis on the role of agricultural producers in the Holy Luthori Empire In 4112, the Rural Party went over 100 seats, and became a major and influential player in Luthorian politics, as agrarian interests became more powerful in the political system. However, the opponent was no longer the communists and Worker's Party, but rather the Horrellians, who supported a Republic, and the destruction of the Luthorian tradition of monarchy. Thus, the coalition founded by the Rural Party, Reform Luthori, became geared towards preservation of the monarchy, allowing coalition members greater political autonomy. In this year, Sir Darnleigh's son, Adalbert Darnley II, took over the party leadership, as his father cited a desire to retire to his estate and manage his farms and study new agricultural techniques. VALUES Subsidiarity: we believe in assisting all members of society in attaining justice and decent conditions of living. From farmers to the urban poor, we believe and acknowledge the existence of structural inequity, and we aim to solve these issues Rural Way of Life: we support preservation of our villages and towns,!as well as our farmlands. We wish to prevent corporate farming and ensure that our traditional way of life outside of cities is able to be modern yet true to our values and family structures Luthori First, but forget not our neighbors: Luthori shall be prioritized, and as such our domestic issues need immediate attention, however, we can not ignore the cries of the helpless across Terra. Hosianism For Today: we believe in the primacy of the Church of Luthori, and support the broad church movement, but we do not deny the truths in other faiths, and seek to affirm believers in other religions in their practices and lives, while ensuring the continued role of the Church within our government Anti-Fascism: we are antifascists, authoritarians and communist totalitarians fall under this definition to us. These ideologies restrict personal and collective freedoms in our society PARTY SONG We stand together hand in hand united for our motherland Which peasant arms formed and made by God our works be saved So we raise our colors to the sky Orange, umber and gold To Empire loyal be The entire Luthori family the countryside and swirling plains Towering cities under mighty rains Give us power give us might We the people will do right |

Random fact: In cases where players introduce RP laws to a nation and then leave, Moderation reserves the discretion to declare the RP laws void if they appear to have fallen into disuse. In particular, please bear in mind that a player who is inexperienced with Particracy role-play and has joined a nation as the only party there should not generally be expected to abide by RP laws implemented by previous players who have been and left. |
Random quote: "Up against the corporate government, voters find themselves asked to choose between look-alike candidates from two parties vying to see who takes the marching orders from their campaign paymasters and their future employers. The money of vested interest nullifies genuine voter choice and trust." - Ralph Nader |
