RAD activists are now operating underground under the name Democratic Action Front (June 2720). Kwame Nantomo is thought to have stood down as chariman for health reasons. His replacement is rumoured to be Sisulu M'Konte, a former Navy officer who has been living a clandestine existence since fleeing a court martial on a charge of mutiny and insubordiantion. M'Konte is known for his uncompromsing radicalism and advocacy of industrial and military sabotage as a tactic of resistance to the Junta.

'We aim to unite the people in the cause of democracy and freedom. The Junta will fall' - Kwame Nantomo at the founding of the RAD

The Revolutionary Alliance For Democracy unites trade unionists, landless peasants, environmentalists, human rights activists and other progressive and democratic forces in the cause of the liberation of the people of Gaduridos. We are a democratic socialist party fighting to rebuild the nation on the basis of democracy, human rights and equality. Our party is based on the twin poles of the workers and the peasantry, when these forces unite as one we can not only defeat the Junta but bring every Gaduri the right to full enjoyment of the fruits of their labour.

The RAD was launched in December 2711 by Kwame Nantomo, a well known journalist and activist. Mr Nantomo is the editor of 'The Commons' - an underground newspaper seen by many as the voice of the pro-democracy movement in Gaduridos - he is a tireless advocate of the rights of landless rural workers and a leading voice in the movement for the abolition of slavery. He has been attacked and imprisoned several times for his journalism and activism but is steadfast in his refusal to give up the fight for the liberation of his people.

The RAD are the founders of the Union of Popular Forces for the Liberation of Gaduridos http://classic.particracy.net/vieworganization.php?organizationid=1938
