Description[?]:
The Parti populaire Libéral is a right-wing, socially liberal party. We love our country, but we are determined to build a country worthy of that love. Things cannot remain as they are: we must adapt modern Jelbania to modern fact. Most party officials are from the Jelbanien minority ethnic group, the party's official language is Canrillaise but Luthori is widely spoken as a second language by most members. There is no dominant religious group within the party. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The party was formed as a reaction to what some members of the Jelbanien minority saw as a threat to their security from the Jelbék majority. Its formation was also driven by the desire of the more educated, urban citizens of Jelbania to have a free society and a more democratic government. The Parti populaire Libéral longs for fundamental change in Jelbania's government structure bringing about a new age of democracy and prosperity for all Jelbanian citizens. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Party Leader: Stephan Ollivier 3638 - 3659 Jean-Claude Beaufort 3659 - Present Stephan Ollivier Party Chairman: Cornelius Geldenhuis 3638 - Present Cornelius Geldenhuis |

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass. |
