Description[?]:
The National People's Party of Tukarali (Partido Popular Nacional de Tukarali) is a right-wing conservative political party in Tukarali. Founded in 4320 by prominent trade unionist Luis Sergio Rousseff as a socialist alternative to the incumbent centrist government, the PPN soon became a significant left-wing political force in Tukarali, however, in 4322, the party fell apart after internal conflict between the new and growing conservative wing and the old socialist wing. The party was soon taken over by the conservatives, who had collaborated with the moderates, and they ejected its socialist wing before reforming itself to suit the new conservative agenda promoted by incumbent party leader, prominent lawyer Ricardo Valente. The reformed PPN was originally comprised of a team of classical liberals, centrists, a few social democrats, right wing populists, national conservatives, neoconservatives and capitalists, but within months, Valente led a purge of the party's socially liberal, moderate social democratic and centrist wings, essentially ridding the party of any leftist elements, and the PPN eventually became a truly conservative political party that has broad appeal across the right of the political spectrum. The PPN's main goal is to restore the economy of Tukarali to strength and greatness, and bring power back to the people. The PPN believes strongly in the right to economic freedom and sees a reduction in governmental involvement in the economy as paramount to the economic success of Tukarali and pledges to reduce the Tukarese economy's reliance on governmental investment and actually stimulate private consumption and investment through a more competitive tax system and economic regulatory regime that emphasises private enterprise rather than state involvement. On social policy, the PPN favours tighter immigration controls, a neo-colonialist stance on foreign aid, and socially conservative moral values that frown on immoral activities. The PPN also aims to remove most if not all environmental regulations in favour of a self-regulating industry, as it views global warming to be a natural phenomenon and a cycle that humans need not be overly concerned about. The PPN announced its candidate for the Presidency to be businessman Michel Barros, Chairman of The Barros Organisation, one of Tukarali's most successful conglomerates with an especially large presence in the real estate industry. He will hand over leadership of his company to his children if he wins the Presidency, eliminating any conflict of interest. The PPN believes that conservative policies are necessary for a brighter, more prosperous, and more secure future for all Tukarese. The PPN guarantees that it will usher in a new age of hope and glory for Tukarali, by Putting Tukarali Back On Track. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Chairman: Enrique Guiterres (4320-4322) Michel Barros (4322-present) Secretary-General: Luis Sergio Rousseff (4320-4322) Ricardo Valente (4322-present) Executive Body: Central Executive Committee _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Youth Wing: Movimento Juvenil Popular (People's Youth Movement) Women's Wing: Movimento das Mulheres para as Pessoas (Women's Movement for the People) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Ideology: - National Conservatism - Capitalism - Conservatism - Economic Liberalism - Meritocracy - Pragmatism - Anti-Communism - Social Conservatism - Fiscal Conservatism - Right-wing Nationalism Factions: - National Conservatives/National Capitalists (Main) - Right-Libertarians (Minor) - Paleoconservatives (Minor) - Hosian Right (Minor) Key Policies: - Cutting Government spending to no more than 15% of GDP - Cutting income taxes such that the top bracket is no more than 20% - Cutting corporate taxes to no more than 10% - Gutting all regulations that are deemed to have overextended the Government's power - Privatising all state-owned enterprises - Securing religious freedoms and halt to any advancement of gay marriage |
