Description[?]:
Democratic-Social Party "The Force of Freedom" Est. 4448 Preceded by: Progressive Party, Progressive National Party, Liberal National Party, and Democratic Party. WE, THE FOUNDERS OF THE SOCIAL LIBERTARIAN PARTY, gathered in an extraordinary assembly, inspired by the same basic belief of our nation's Founding Fathers: Out of many, we are one; with the purpose of resuming the fight our predecessors started two centuries ago; recognizing equality must be the foundational principle of our nation and that respect and tolerance must be the guiding values in our society, ENACT the following: PARTY MANIFESTO AND PLATFORM We stand by the protection of all individuals regardless of their age, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic position, and personal beliefs. We believe in a free society in which all individuals are allowed to be who they are and where everyone is allowed to express themselves and their beliefs freely. We believe in basic human values of inclusion and equality. We believe all individuals are worthy members of society who deserve to be respected and treated as such. We believe every individual is the force of freedom, as the basis of a united society that fights toward progress. We believe that strength is found in our differences, and that progress is the product of dissent and consensus. We believe in a nation founded on principles of common well-being where the power resides in the people, for the people, and by the people. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL COMMITTEE The Democratic National Committee is the formal governing body of the Social Libertarian Party. It coordinates strategy to support candidates throughout the country in local, state, and national elections. It organizes the Democratic National Convention, held two years prior to every election to nominate and confirm candidates for the General Election, elect DNC leadership, and form the new party platform. It is composed of state Democratic Committees that execute delegated functions, especially in state and local elections like governorships and mayorships. While it provides support for candidates, the Democratic National Committee has no direct authority over elected officials. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IDEOLOGIES Majority: - Social liberalism - Progressivism Factions: - Democratic socialism - Left-wing populism - Moderate - Social democracy -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL COMMITTEE 4841-present Chairperson: Woodrow Henry Vice-Chair: Shelly McDaniel Treasurer: Mary Sharp Secretary: Abraham Fields Voter Participation Chair: Julia Kennedy Finance Chair: Porfirio Fitzpatrick Congressional Leader: Cher Cheng (PD) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SENATE LEADERSHIP 4841-4845 Majority Leader: Cher Cheng (PD) Whip: Penny Washington (EB) Assistant Whip: Harvey Owen (WB) Socialist Caucus Chair: Javier Boyd (PD) Libertarian Caucus Chair: Sidney Lane (NK) 4845-present Leader: Cher Cheng (PD) Whip: Penny Washington (EB) Assistant Whip: Harvey Owen (WB) Socialist Caucus Chair: Javier Boyd (PD) Libertarian Caucus Chair: Sidney Lane (NK) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SENATE COMMITTEE CHAIRS - Foreign Affairs 4841-present Brandon Cortez (NK) - Homeland Security 4841-present Christina Bradley (WB) - Finance 4841-present Constance Love (PD) - Defense and Armed Services 4841-present Carlos Lamb (WB) - Judiciary 4841-present Jim Sparks (EB) - Infrastructure and Transport 4841-present Lori Edwards (MN) - Health 4841-present Rosa Holloway (NK) - Social Services 4841-present Nathan Jensen (EB) - Labor 4841-present Leah Soto (NK) - Education 4841-present Alexis Hudson (MN) - Intelligence 4841-present May Fuller (WB) - Science and Technology 4841-present Irene Summers (PD) - Environment 4841-present Wilbert Hernandez (EB) - Agriculture and Nutrition 4841-present Guillermina VillaseƱor (PD) - Budget and Appropriations 4841-present Jon Poole (WB) - Trade 4841-present Terry Ward (WB) - Rules and Oversight 4841-present Viola Francis (MN) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION NORWALK - Sen. Random fact: Selucia is Particracy's modern take on Ancient Rome, located on the continent of Majatra. |
Random quote: "No one today can afford to be innocent, or indulge himself in ignorance of contemporary governments, politics and social orders. The national polities of the modern world maintain their existence by deliberately fostered craving and fear: monstrous protection rackets. The 'free world' has become economically dependent on a fantastic system of stimulation of greed which cannot be fulfilled, sexual desire which cannot be satiated and hatred which has no outlet except against oneself, the persons one is supposed to love, or the revolutionary aspirations of pitiful, poverty-stricken marginal societies like Cuba or Vietnam. The conditions of the Cold War have turned all modern societies - communist included - into vicious distorters of man's true potential." - Gary Snyder |
