== PARTY INFO == Slogan: “Building a Better Baltusia” Symbol(s): Rose Political Position: Center-Left to Left Headquarters: Castle Rock, Westbrook Factions / Representation: Moderates (Center-Left) 37/104, Progressives (Left) 67/104 ————————————————————————— HISTORY (July of 5256 - Present) the Labor Party of Baltusia was organized and formed officially in July of 5256 by working class Baltusians who were becoming fed up with the incompetence of the federal government. Led by Benjamin Celeste, the Labor Party saw a landslide election in snap elections called in August of 5256 with Benjamin Celeste being elected President and the Labor Party sweeping every federal and state election. President Celeste would go on to serve 3 full terms as President before deciding to pursue election to the United States Senate, making way for Hayley Tuttle to succeed him as President of the United States. Tuttle's administration has not been met with the same amount of popularity as her predecessor and leading to the rise of a few different political movements. In late 5289, the Labor Party dissolved due to growing internal conflict between Moderates and Progressives. Many of the Moderates broke with the party and joined the LRP or PB while the Progressive membership struggled to find a home. Shortly before federal elections of 5292, the Labor Party reformed with mostly its progressive agnostic membership that had struggled to find another home on the federal level. The newest incarnation of the LPB is lead by former Baltusian Senator, Austin Celeste. ————————————————————————— Hall of Presidents 1. Benjamin Celeste (5256-5268, 5283-5286) 2. Random fact: In cases where players introduce RP laws to a nation and then leave, Moderation reserves the discretion to declare the RP laws void if they appear to have fallen into disuse. In particular, please bear in mind that a player who is inexperienced with Particracy role-play and has joined a nation as the only party there should not generally be expected to abide by RP laws implemented by previous players who have been and left. |
