The SSDP differs from some Social Democratic parties in that it supports a limited mixed-market economy. A system that acknowledges the benefits of the price-based market system for some commodities, while realizing the need to provide a wide range of social beneifts for the workers and citizens of the Republic. In short, while the party has a dominant leftist perspective, it fully embraces and acknowledges the conservative/liberal economic that work to benefit society.
