Nation[?]: Commonwealth of Lodamun (Lodamun)
Seats[?] in National Congress[?]: 0
Color[?]:
Description[?]:
While a true Anarchy would never be able to function, for it is in Human Nature to follow a leader, the Anarcho-Socialist Party, or ASP, believes that while an elected leader is necessary that leader should have as little influence, and actual power as possible, while still being able to organize a functioning government. As such, ASP is dedicated to bringing Social equality to the People, and to reduce Government influence in the personal lives of those people as much as possible. Economically, ASP believes that large, corporate type businesses need to be regulated in order to facilitate growth among smaller business. We believe that by that by bringing a Laissez-Faire attitude toward small business, and Socialist style regulations of Large Businesses, we can achieve a much more competitive Economy that would drive wages up, and prices down.(i.e a business would be allowed to grow, and operate unhindered, until they reached the level of say, Wal-Mart in which case they would be regulated in order to even the playing field with their smaller competitors) Militarily we believe that the Nation should have a large Military, but one that would only be able to Mobilize for Defense and would not be allowed to commit a "Pre-emptive Strike" or Invade another country without proof that the nation in question attacked, and/or put our Nation in danger.(i.e The War in Iraq would be illegal unless it was proven that Saddam could, and/or did attack the Continental United States) Socially, we believe in the equality of all races/religions/sex/sexual-orientation, and believe strongly in the seperation of Church and State, and hope to eventually move towards a Classless society.(i.e Gay Marriage would be legal in the eyes of the Government, but the Government would have no power to force the Church to recognize those marriages) We believe that most Drugs should be legalized, but, regulated similar to the way Alcohol is regulated in the US.(i.e Marijuana would be legal to use in your home, but, once you endanger someone's life, by, say, driving a car under the influence of it, you would be arrested and jailed) |

Random quote: "Rifles, muskets, long-bows and hand-grenades are inherently democratic weapons. A complex weapon makes the strong stronger, while a simple weapon so long as there is no answer to it gives claws to the weak." - George Orwell |
