Nation[?]: Rìoghachd na Rutha (Rutania)
Seats[?] in Pàrlamaid (Parliament)[?]: 0
Color[?]:
Description[?]:
Formed to advance Conservatism into the new era, it holds a centre-right ideology, wanting to streamline Government and the public sector, whilst allowing business to flourish. It accepts that Government has a duty to care for the poorest of society, and believes that the best way of doing this is to get them into employment and allowing them to climb out of poverty with only the necessary help. Health and education are two of the parties key priorities. They seek to ensure that students receive a good standard of education, but ant to provide extra help to those in grammar schools and higher education, regardless of their financial position. In health, they believe in an NHS, with private healthcare available to those who want, and can afford, it. The poorest members of society should recieve help in paying for things like prescription drugs and eye tests. Law and Order is another issue that the New Conservatives want to tackle. They believe that this can be done through increased police presence, tougher sentences for crimes, and increased sense of society and morals. They seek to ensure that citizens understand not only their rights, but also their responsibilities, and that the shunning of the latter means the surrender of most of the former. Policies in short: 1. Centralized Government with limited local government powers 2. Equality, freedom and civil rights to all in Rutania 3. Looking after the environment as much as possible whilst not damaging the economy or individual rights 4. Good trade and foreign relations, without becoming partly dependent or a member of a close alliance with other countries 5. A small, efficient and unwasteful Government 6. Free Market policies, with regulations to stop monopolization and ensure worker safety and liberty 7. A military focused on defence, firstly of Rutania itself, and secondly of suppressed people in our region 8. Maintaining a good moral standard and a close-knit society, where co-operation thrives and innovation can flourish 9. Freedom of religious expression, with no state religion or church, and no mandatory attendance to a place of worship. |
