MessageSentators, President Mori,

over the days few days I have spent time with President Mori. I have come to realise that he is a man who Solentia can do business with, he is a man who shares our ideas of liberty, freedom, and democracy.

It is worth remembering that the relationship of our nations was formed out of these eternal values of truth. It is with pleasure that I invite Sosuke Mori the President of Dranland to address the Senate of Soentia...

MessagePRESIDENT MORI'S ADDRESS TO THE SOLENTIAN SENATE:

"Senators, President Clarke,
those who are not familiar with the special relationship between Dranland and Solentia might wonder how two nations separated by a huge geographical distance and with remarkably different cultures could ever find common ground to work on together. This question, however, does not acknowledge that there are values which are universal and true and apply to every nation, every culture and every individual - these values include the right to live free, to speak one's mind, to live self-determinedly, and to have the opportunity to pursue one's own, unique goals and desires.

These values have always been the foundation of the privileged partnership between Solentia and Dranland - when our nations first cooperated with each other with regards to an arts festival held in Solentia, it became clear that the people of Drania and Solentia both cherish individualism, tolerance, diversity and freedom of expression, and that we are brothers and sisters in the light of these high values. What was especially amazing to see was that never any nationalist sentiments and narrow-minded suspicions against foreigners, which I consider the greatest obstacles on the way to worldwide liberty and peace, did ever hamper the friendly co-operation between the Dranish and the Solentian people, which is the ultimate proof for the openness and tolerance that make up the strong ties between our nations.

We have gone a long way from this early stadium of cursory co-operation to the extensive partnership that we have also politically summarized in the DSFT, which Dranland has already passed through the assembly. I would also appreciate if the honorable Solentian senators would give this treaty a second look after my address, for it is not just an agreement between the GNP and the LPS, but a manifesto of the friendship between our people.

Ladies and Gentlemen, it was an incomparable honor to speak to the Senate, which I did not only on behalf of my country, but on behalf of our joint aim for liberty and peace, freedom from oppression and a better Terra for all people regardless of religion, ethnicity and personal orientation. This is the spirit of the DSF, and in this sense, I wish to thank for your attention and express my greatest gratitude for this amazing visit to your glorious nation."

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context.
